The player who did it was Fletcher. He completely shut off any creativity on Wigan’s part and was bossing the midfield. He was great against Birmingham as well. He’s going to be very important to us this season, especially when we look a bit thin in the middle. Le Arse are going to really test us. As I said, Fletcher is again the only ball winner really in the team in the absence of Hargreaves. If he has a good game against the likes of Fabregas and Diaby running in late to join in, in the attacks, we’re gonna be good.
Anderson can somewhat play that role to, but just don’t see him starting.

I am very concerned about Carrick though. Hope that Burnley game doesn’t dent his confidence.
Very interested to see who Sir Alex Starts in the midfield.

Valencia —– Giggs —- Nani
Or Valencia — Fletcher — Carrick —- Nani
Personally, I’d like to see Scholesy in there, but don’t know if Sir Alex is gonna start him two weeks in a row.
